Bodywaving based on being relaxed. Moving without undesirable tension makes your movement more efficient. To be efficient you should to flow with your bodywave – kinetic energy. Being relaxed also improves your ability to adapt – to synchronise. To be aware of tension and cope with stress. is good not just for sports or fight, but generally for health.
The aspects, which we are developing in Bodywaving, are going across all kinetic activities: martial arts, sports, dance or yoga.
Its s crucial tool which has influence on your tension: breathing can relax you & calm down or tense you up & increase your stress.
You are more efficient if you use less power for same job.
Being stiff more than you need*, is wasting of your energy; undesirable tension holds you back & down.
Muscles which are more relaxed between work have higher performance.
Being more relaxed is probably a biggest reserve of your efficiency (power, dynamics & endurance).
* You would be surprise how small energy you need!
Non-stop tensed muscles are usually non-stop working muscles (could also be too short).
If you are always tense, then your muscles haven’t time to rest, they’re tired, can be painful & after a longer time you can even have inflammation on your muscle attachments.
Too tense muscles have a much higher chance of being injured.
Then, the wave doesn’t flow through stiff muscles.
To let a wave flow, you have to relax your body.
Relaxing helps you to better feel your own kinetic energy or react more quickly to your surroundings.
Stretching with wave
To your normal stretching you can add few ‘new’ aspects..
Firstly, stretch with natural attitude like a cat, or like you would do it in the morning, when you wake up – do it with pleasure – enjoy it! 😉
Move, wave, wiggle – don’t be just static.
Stretch longer chain of soft tissue (muscle, tendons & fascias).
Move in all range of movements (don’t stretch just one chain).
Combine rotation & bending – try to find as many position you can.
Stretch with breathing (exhale helps expand your tissue & inhale relaxed).
Massage is important part of healthy self-care to keep your body elastic, relaxed..
Massage is stimulating your tissue & supports recovery.
Massage improve blood (warming up your tissue) & lymphatic circulation.
No wonder, that self-massage is part of our program.
It’s great to combine self-massage with stretching, both nicely synergise each other.
Smoothness or elegance is other name for efficient movement.
To be smooth, it is necessary to feel kinetic energy flowing through your body & harmonised with it.
To feel the kinetic energy is important to develop internal feeling – sense for which most of us haven’t developed well..
Internal feeling also helps you to feel & control your body-tension.
Finally when you are nicely relaxed, when you feel kinetic energy your liquid body smoothly flows..
From Tai chi to super-dynamics movements
We move in wild spectrum of speed: from slow smoothness motion like Tai chi (can be different shape & wave), through normal quick speed to super-dynamics movements (most of people haven’t move in that speed for ages).
Relaxed joints allows wave flows through your body & accelerate your power.
The wave effect we can see on nunchaku (flail), whip, fishing rod, or when are you throwing something..
Super-dynamics movements are pumping your lymphatic cycle, making it work better (positive effect to cellulite).
Body & mind are directly connected, no doubt that dynamic motion will makes you more dynamic person.
Ability to adapt
Success of the human race is based on our ability to adapt –to be harmonised with objects around you.
One of the best ability to adapt is liquid. Fortunately we are mostly from water, so we can switch to ‘liquid body regime’.

Usually during any hard muscular work, we are making solid construction, which is moving in one direction. This concept could be good to makes bigger muscles, but not the best for warriors, dancer or any dynamic sports people (football, rugby, cyclist, swimming etc.). We want to generate the power & keep liquid body – to be free to move everywhere & without undesirable tension.
Bodywaving is opening another dimension of strengthening – you are not strengthening still same muscles groups but with waving you are changing position & also muscles groups . It allows frequently used muscles to have small rest because their share the work with muscles around (so, you can training more!).
It’s good to strength body not just in few favourites chain, but in 360°, in all range of movements.
This switching between muscles is usually for non trained guys, rough & jerky. Our exercise helps you smoothly switch between muscles groups.
Express yourself – create the movement
Basically we have two thinking mode:
a) linear (logical) thinking mode,
b) holistic (creative) thinking mode.
Logical thinking mode is too slow to manage quick exact movements.
In holistic thinking mode, you empty your mind – you are in the present – your body moves subconsciously by itself.
This exercise is also a ticket to your creative zone, where you have not a plan – you spontaneously create movements & improve your reactions.
